Jawaharlal Nehru University

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is a public central university established in 1969. It is considered as a bastion for left and ultra left ideologies. in 1981 the University was shut down for 46 days after violence by students unions was linked to communist parties.

JNU historians like Bipin Chandra, S.Gopal, Romila Thapar, Suvira Jaiswal misled generations of Indians by glorifying Mughal history over Hindu history, demeaning Hindu kings bravery and at times skipping their names and kingdoms altogether. JNU historians have also mislead judiciary in India over Ram mandir for many years. Former JNU professor of History, Suvira Jaiswal misled many generations of Indian by peddling fictional story that there were no remnants of any temple underneath Babri masjid.

Ms. Jaiwal is a leftist historian and had done her PhD under R.S. Sharma, another left historian, who lied about no evidence of temple under Babri masjid. Under oath Ms. Jaiswal agreed to have not read Babarnama yet represented the Muslim side as a ‘specialist in Ancient History’. She also agreed that despite being a professor of Ancient History she has not conducted any study, nor made any compilation of books in this issue not has she read any reports pertaining to it. She gave a statement as a matter of personal opinion and without reading any reports.

Another left historian JNU Professor Emerita and known Hindu hater, Romila Thapar, is the chief proponent of fake Aryan Invasion theories that are still taught in schools today. In the Ram mandir case she wrote a piece in The Hindu, she said Hindus should accept the 500-year mosque as part of our cultural heritage, completely disregarding the Archeological Survey of India’s findings of a Hindu temple. In regards to recent excavation of temple remnants in Ayodhya, she said “I see it as a battle between faith and rationality. For it is impossible to prove that Ram was born within the limits of 2.77 acres of the disputed land in Ayodhya. I don’t see any logic in this faith. And as a professional historian I think history cannot be written on the basis of faith; whatever is written or spoken about on its basis is only fantasy.”

In 2016 students of JNU led by then JNU Students Union President Kanhaiya Kumar and Communist Party member Umar Khalid called for ‘breaking India into 1000 of pieces’. They also rallied for Parliament attack mastermind Afzal Guru calling Indian judiciary as ‘killers’. Slogans like ‘Afzal hum sharminda hain tere katil zinda hai.’ Which translates to Afzal we are ashamed your killers are still alive were raised multiple times. Umar Khalid has been chargesheeted by Delhi Police for inciting crowds days before anti-Hindu Delhi riots.
